Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What are your hours of operation?

Click here for our Hours of Operation
Q2: Do I need to make a reservation?
No, but we do recommend reservations, especially on holiday weekends, to
ensure good customer service (to make sure you don't wait for 1-3 hours for
your turn). Three days ahead is usually fine, but call us two weeks in advance
         for holiday weekends, if possible.
If you have a reservation, we can serve you better. If you walk in, you risk coming at a
busy time and waiting. Reservations help us help you!
Q3: Do I have to pay anything in advance if I make a reservation?
Not at the present time. We try to make things easy for our customers,
so you can wait to pay until you check in on the day of your trip.
We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, and organizational/business checks.
Q4: How do your day trips work?
For most day trips, you come to our location and we check you in. Then we load
you, your gear, and your boats onto our trailers and shuttle you up river in
a van. We put you in at the location you've chosen, and you paddle back
down river (with the current!) to our location. We're conveniently
located at a boat ramp on the Suwannee River, at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music
         Park.
Q5: At what times do you do trips?
We normally do trips and shuttles on the hour from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.,
unless prior arrangements have been made.
For day trips, you must check in at the office at least
15 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
For overnight trips, check in at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
Otherwise, you may depart at the next scheduled time or at our convenience.
Special departure times are available by reservation only, or at our convenience.
Q6: Can I bring my dog?
Alligators are attracted to dogs. Large dogs can upset a canoe.
For these reasons, we recommend that you leave your dog at home.
         (And your cat, too!)
The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (where we're located) doesn't allow
dogs in the park during certain events. You can call the park office for more
         information at 386-364-1683.
Q7: Can I bring my mother-in-law?
That risk is completely up to you. If you capsize your canoe with her in it,
you'll hear about it at Thanksgiving dinner for decades.
